Screen Resolutions - 4/14/2001 15:46:00
Is there anyway to adjust so that if the user has a screen resolution of 800x600 or 1024 x 768 they'll both be able to view the page correctly?............Thanks.....Tony.

Hi Tony.

The key is to do your layout in tables. You can set your tabel width to approx. 595 and it will stay the same size and be viewable at all resolutions. OR you can use percentages to set the width of your tables. One hundred percent will make the tables stretch to the entire screen width at all resolutions.

I would recommend playing around on a practice site to get the hang of tables.

Also, tables are made up of cells, which will (usually) contain width settings. Do not drag cell walls to position them. Always right click the cell > choose Cell properties > and set the attributes in the dialog box. Do not set table or cell heights. The content will stretch them to the appropriate height.

Have fun.

Sandy
