Requesting test by Apple/Mac computer users - 8/9/2002 12:36:11
Would like to know if the rollover works in browser' s of Apple computer users.

Click on the " View Large Image" link for:

The rollover has been tested and works successfully in about 14 Windows browsers (various versions of IE, NN, AOL and Opera); would now like to test Apple OS functionality.

Many thanks, gail

I chuckled too when I saw " you" standing in front of the mirror in another post. :):):):):):) [:p]

Seems not many know about this dhtml effect so I' m doing a little Research 101. Don' t mean to overdo it, and no it' s not in my agreement, but I am trying to be thorough. Besides, I was a Mac user for more than a decade and it' s been a long time since I' ve chatted with my buddies. :)

Hey! I just found it works in NN with the Apple OS, too ( forgot to ask which version, but I will). Got all the info I wanted, now we just have to decide whether to use it or not. :)

So, Mike...

Well Gail,

I' ve been gone for a couple of days, which one are you leaning to? MHOO - I think the DHTML is the more reliable with all the testing you' ve done so far.

Mike

Hi Mike,

Calvin and you were missed.

I concur completely. Plus no one in these forums has provided any reasons not to use it.

You mean all the testing we' ve done. So many have helped me test the FP Swap Picture Effect.

I' ve sent all the findings to my client. Between both of our schedules we probably won' t even get to discuss for several week. However I will not hesitate to recommend the Swap Picture Effect:

- it' s a snap to setup and insert in already created pages (compared to javascript)

- it works very well after lots of testing in many browser' s and versions of each

- it seems to generate half the code as a java rollover script.

Just to repeat what has been stated elsewhere, here are the browser' s it' s been tested in:

IE 5
IE 5.5
IE 6
NN 4.7
NN 4.08
NN 6
NN 6.1
NN 6.2
AOL 4.0
AOL 5.0
AOL 6.0
AOL 7.0
Opera 5.12
Opera 6
NN 4 - Apple OS

I' m going to begin using it in my sites. Thanks again for all your help Mike!!!
