Ive run out of columns in Access 97 ! HELP - 3/14/2001 17:33:00
I know this may be a vaugue description, but it gets complicated to explain by typing it without showing to you in person. I am creating a database for multiple users to enter information for various accounts. I have more than 256 columns that are being used for an access table. I was going to use 2 different tables for the user to enter information, but the problem I have is trying get a calculated total from fields in both tables. For instance, numbers are being entered in all fields, I need a total of all numbers from all fields from 2 tables...Is there a way to do this? Or is there a program out there that I can buy that will do this for me? Specifically a program used for reporting and totalling numbers from various users. Also, the users need to be able to edit this information online.

256 columns? ouch
If you think the design is ok, then concentrate on getting what you need out of the Access database first, using a query, before attempting anything on the web. The database must be in control first!
