Auto-subject emails - 4/15/2001 22:57:00
How do you make it so when a person clicks on an email link it automatically fills in the subject?

In the HTML link code you add ?subject=Add your subject line here.
It would look something like:
mailto:mysticnight@hisdomain.com?subject=Howdy Mystic

Hope this helps

Wierd....I do that and it never works. Does subject need to be lowercased?

Hi, Brandon -

When I sent you that email the other day, I had clicked the link on your site but changed the subject. It did originally give me the prefilled subject.

Maybe it isn't working for you because of the email program you're using?

Hmm...well, I guess as long as it works for some people. Not like I email myself that much anyways.

Hey Mystic,

You wouldn't be using AOL would you? I have read you have to use different styled hyperlinks for them.
