FP keeps trying to dial up - 8/17/2002 5:51:26
Hi,
I have FP2000 and PWS running well on my desktop. Now I have installed them on my laptop and copied the webs across. Now, the laptop keeps trying to dial up whenever I load a web or try and edit a page. I have even tried using FP publish on the laptop (with a different name) but it still happens.
I have obviously done something wrong whislt installing FP and PWS as I am also getting the Front Page Save components message when viewing forms on the laptop!?
Any ideas welcome?

did you copy the web pages to the laptop using a dial up connection?
Perhaps frontpage is trying to open the pages on the remote site and not on the laptop itself. That could explain why it is trying to dial up a connection when you try opening or editing a web page.

Hi All,
Have implemented the never dial option and that has bypassed the problem.
I actually copied the websites via CD and then used import to get them into FP on the laptop.
