Is there any other way?

How can I submitt to a database autoincrement the numeric part of the string.

E.g AR-110, Ar-111, AR-112.

How would you handle it. I need to work it out because it is bugging my head in.

There must be some way?

If you need text, store it in a seperate field and join the values to make it look like text + number

You cant achieve what you want your way.

Also, its limiting what you can do with the DRW Elecia tried to demonstrate using asp which is your next option, but still you cant use text.

How do I get the two fields together in every record. How do I get the text field to input only DP- on every record the same table?

Also explain how I need to change the ASP page to a given table.
