Hockey Site - 8/21/2002 13:45:18
I made a website for my hockey team (link bellow). Please critique it. It would be a super bonus if you could tell me if you see a scroller along the right side under the " Scores" heading. It doesn' t seem to be working for me ... so any suggestions would be appreciated. Also note that the logo (top left) is in the process of being changed from the " Soo Greyhounds" to " The Boozehounds" . Thanks.

Hi Matty, I looked at your site with IE 6.0, resolution at 800 X 600 and connection at 28.8. (1) There is a small horizontal scroll bar, about one-half inch on each page. (2) I had a site at Tripod a few years ago and I remember an option as to embedding their add into the top of the page. It would stop the pop-up window. I think the option may still be there. (3) On http://brewers.tripod.ca/links.html your " Our Sponsor" link goes to a blank page. (4) The color coordinated vertical scroll bar will not be seen by all visitors, especially Netscape ones. Hope this helps, John

(1) I will make the page narrower to get rid of the horizontal bar. (2) I prefer the pop-up to the embeded option because they can just minimize it and not have to look at it. The embeded add, on the other hand, looks dumb (I think). So I am aware of the option. (3) I' m not too concerned if the users don' t see the colour coordinated scroller. It' s just a nice luxury for those who can. Thanks for your input.

Hi Matty, I just had to jump in and give you my 2 cents. You are doing really well with your graphics and color choices. Even though you adapted your previous layout to work with this one...it stands on its own. See, I did say that you learn very quickly. Good going.

tterrifc, Thanks for the input. The reason why I chose the same layout from the other site is because it is for the same group of people, there just a name change for the team.
