Someone let me know what you think - 8/22/2002 13:36:35
Hello all. I have created a website for my church and would like for someone to tell me what they think. It has been dramatically upgraded, so let me know what you like and dont like. I am posting this message now because the first design was terrible. But I think that this one is a little better. Check it out at

I like the home page and graphic you used on the masthead. I am not a big fan of flash, but I think your opening " movie" could be more effective if you assumed the people who viewed the site don' t care that it' s a new website. In other words, perhaps you could make a more definitive statement about what your church is all about. Again, the flash in the banners on each page are a distraction and made it difficult for me to focus on what I was reading in the body of the page. Maybe if the flash stopped after the initial run-through, it would be more user friendly. Also, I would try to integrate the navigation bars on the home page left border into all the other pages, so someone could go straight to prayer requests from any page. Good info on the church and I was interested in the church' s philosophy. I attend a born-again, charismatic church in upstate New York.
PS- I don' t know if anyone is interested in who your hosting service is.[:j]

Thanks Piquet for telling me about my site. The reason why it was messed up is because my server would not let me upload. Its all fixed now, so let me know what you think now. Its all there now.

Says there' s a graphic missing in the upper left corner (all I see is that box with the red X). Is it just the one page, or is your navigation missing?

YES I KNOW. MY SERVER HOSTSAVE WHO REALLY SUCK HAS MESSED UP THE SITE COMPLETELY. SO NO ONE GO TO IT. IT WONT EVEN LET ME UPLOAD A PAGE SAYING THAT THE SITE IS DOWN, I GET THIS MESSAGE:
500 Internal Server Error
Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

BUT I AM THE WEBMASTER@NEWMIAMIWESLEYAN.COM AND HOSTSAVE DOES NOT EVEN HAVE A PHONE NUMBER, AND WHEN YOU EMAIL THEM THEY DO NOT CONTACT YOU.
