acccess database question? newbie - 3/29/2001 20:52:00
hello everyone, is it possible to use a access database to pick and choose products that may be for sale and have it show a total price after the parts have been chosen. kind of like shopping cart software that is out there? i am new to access and databases. i was just wondering if i could use them in place of some of the "shopping car" software or if i am really wasting my time.thanks Brian

The concept is sound, most of the carts are "Session" based these days, so the purchases are carried in the servers memory until a sale is made. It can be unreliable.Making a temporary database table that carries the users cart items is a very good idea, but as with anything, the time for an individual to put one together is outweighed by the simplicity of just getting an existing package
