If you have Eye Candy filters with your version of Photoshop, you may want to take a look at the " Motion Trail " filter. Using that combined with the blur effect should do the trick

Did you know that the Michael Bolton actor is also in hit TV show Angel (which I belive you said your wife watches?) - He plays the BEST and funniest character in that!
