I have a font creator program and could probable make something like that. Search teh net for typographers and font makers, i think i have 2 and one is a free shareware download... tricky to use though ... very time consuming

Here is a font finder that another FPer posted to this forum earlier:
http://www.identifont.com/

The question series can get quite lengthy when you have only a small sample but it does get there eventually.

I ran this one through Identifont and nothing even came close.

I have been looking through fancy fonts for another purpose in the last few days and kept an eye out for something like this - nada I am afraid and I have looked at about 1500 fonts in that time.

My guess is that J-man is right here - this is a custom designed font and not actually available anywhere.

This is a shareware font creator I played with a bit a while back, but again J-man is right, its tricky and a slow process.

I' ve seen that font on quite a few websites in the past few months... it has to be coming from somewhere... it may just be a plug-in for a graphics editor, or a font collection?

You could probably create something similar using a typewriter font and playing with masks...

Try e-mailing the web admin of the site and ask..?

Looks like Ghostwriter or Pookie. Yes, they are actual fonts.

It' s a " grunge" type of font. I went to google and entered " Grunge fonts" and found some good resources:

LOL!

Some people actually find SE optimization exciting and fun... personally I' d rather watch paint dry... but that' s how I used to feel about all things computer ralated... until a couple years ago, If I couldn' t do it with a joystick I had no intrest...

Now I can' t get enough code...

Thanks for letting us know! That was a fun question -- took me on an interesting half-hour side trip! I always find something new. I think instead of calling it " the Internet" they should have called it " the Tangent" !!!:)

Barry,

I don' t believe that it is the CRUD font for the following reasons:

  • The vertical riser on the subject font' s lower case " i" is curved, where the CRUD is straight.
  • The vertical riser on the subject font' s lower case " r" sports a smudge to the left, not so on the CRUD font.
  • The subject font' s lower case " o" contains a blemish at 12 o' clock and 8 o' clock, where the CRUD font has only a slight blemish at 10 o' clock and at 5 o' clock.

There are many other variations! Continue the search. Suggestion: Call Termite Art Productions at (818) 763-2862
