Timestamp Date Format - 9/11/2002 12:11:05
I' ve created a form in FP2000 that posts data (including the Timestamp field) into a database created via FP.

As I am in the UK, my computer is set to UK date format (dd/mm/yy), as is the server that is hosting my web. Despite this, the FP form insists on posting the Timestamp date into the database in US format (mm/dd/yy).

Does anyone know where I need to start looking in the Extensions set-up to correct this? It is causing much wailing and gnashing of teeth in the office as the database believes today is 9th October (09/10/02) and tomorrow will be 9th November (09/11/02) etc. which obviously plays havoc with the information i can get out of it.

I would think that somewhere in the default code, FP is changing the LCID

The default is US Session.LCID = 1033

Heres a some info on locale identifiers :
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/intl/nls_2jzn.asp

Heres some info on how to change it :
http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/webtech/tips/t022202-1.shtml

The default setting for the DRW is contained in the _fpclass/fpdlib.inc file in the FP_SetLocaleForPage function, but I cant locate the original setting of this variable.

Thanks for the links, but jeez this stuff looks complex.

I' m a designer, not a programmer, that' s why i try to let FP do all the programming stuff for me.

Seems a bit daft that half the western world can' t post a form with the correct date in it!
