I' m just a tad over 11 and am still learning stuff here - I don' t think the forums are aged based but are founded on everyone' s perceived knowledge.

Cheers
Andy

Welcome to Outfront, scary -

That' s the beauty of this forum... there are no dumb questions. To someone just starting out in web design questions like that may seem advanced.

If you think that the question is too simple and not worth your time, don' t bother with it. There are others here who will answer those questions.

Being young gives you an advantage, you don' t have to " unlearn" some of the things the rest of us do... but remember, that you will never stop learning when it comes to web design.

You may know everything today, but by next month that may very well change...

Just remember to be patient with those of us who do not.

:)

Please note, that useful replies are welcomed.

Merely responding with an " I think" and ending in " I dunno... " is not an answer. This forum is not a competition to respond to as many posts as possible. You will be very quickly banned if you are not careful or at the very least people will begin to ignore you.

If you believe you have something to teach or something to learn, you will be welcome.

Welcome scarynewbie.

I understand what you' re saying. In fact, I' m sure everyone on this thread who' s replied to you agrees with what you' re saying. I think it' s ironic that what an experienced web designer would think of as a beginner' s question many posters consider to be intermediate or advanced and that I often find questions in the beinner' s forum that are way over my head.

In fact, if the Moderators wanted to strictly separate the questions along the lines of difficulty they' d probably have to move half the threads that get started back and forth between the forums!

But the moderators care more about helping people with their questions than classifying posts. They could have moved your post here to Off-topic and your other threads to Beginners, but instead they addressed them where you put them.

You' re young. We can certainly forgive you your lack of ettiquete in your earlier posts. I think your question on how to be a moderator is one you might actually want to think about. The moderators on this forum are great examples of what great people are. If you want to be one, start by observing how they address others and respond to questions.
