Why can' t I move these files ? Please help. - 9/16/2002 16:06:40
I have just recently added some menu files to my web site. The site is for a restaurant. I put the 3 menus in pdf format, and have it so when someone clicks on the menu, it opens in a new page. The problem I have is, when I scroll over the link for any of those menus, it points to file:///C:/My Documents/catering_menu.pdf . and the pther file names for the other 2 files. When those files stay in " My Documents" folder, people can see the menus, but today, I moved them to a different folder, and I was told by a few poeple that they could no longer view the menus on line. I checked it out myself, and they were right. How can I set it up that when visitors at my site want to view the menu, it won' t matter if the files are on my pc or not ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

yanagapa, You must import your pdf to the web on your hard drive so that they get Published. With your site open in FP, Chose Import from the File menu, a dialog box will open. Choose Add File, and locate (browse to) your pdf and choose Open. Then Choose OK. Now open your page with the link to the pdf and change the link to the pdf in your web site file. Publish your site again.
