Spooky Login - Moving Database - 4/5/2001 14:24:00
Is there more to moving the spooky_login2000.mdb than I'm seeing? I moved it from a folder called fpdb to data. The I modified the db_conn.asp to read = "\Data\spooky_login2000.mdb"
but now when I try it I get
Could not find file 'd:\webs\drarco\fpdb\spooky_login2000.mdb'.

/includes/a_general.asp, line 26

I looked at the a_general.asp but can't see a reference to the database.

Help.

Otherwise, I love the product. It has helped me bring up a site I would not have been able to do. Thanks for that.

Hmmm sounds like you have done the right thing.
Does it show the correct connection string when you browse to admin_main.asp diagnostics?

It seems as if the db_conn file hasnt been modified or has been cached?

Spooky,

Here is what I get now:
Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e09'

Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.

/includes/a_login.asp, line 111

You can look at it here:
www.drar.com then click on members only

Thanks

Sounds like your permissions need to be reset to read/write for your new database path. Depending on your host, your ISP has to do this.

Yep, if it was writeable in /fpdb/ then Id leave it there, otherwise youll need to contact your host to enable read/write
