I am getting over 75% of my traffic from AOL. Of course, this is for a product that the average age of the buyer is 45 - so that may explain a lot.

I get 75% of my traffic from MSN, Yahoo, and Google in that order.
35% MSN
22% Yahoo
18% Google
AOL is only 5%, but together you can see 80% comes from the big 4. The remainder are almost irrelevant for my site.

Google 3,910 62.1%
MSN 1,109 17.6%
Yahoo 746 11.9%
AOL 262 4.2%
AltaVista 117 1.9%
Ask Jeeves 57 0.9%
Looksmart 46 0.7%
Lycos 31 0.5%
All the Web 5 0.1%
DogPile 5 0.1%
Direct Hit 4 0.1%

The majority of the traffic to my sites comes from Google.
However, many of my sites are also listed in the Yahoo directory which is probably in second place (including Google results from Yahoo).

Hi -
I' m not going to vote as the answer varies too much for me. I manage 40-odd sites and the SE traffic comes from different engines depending on the site. Some sites are marketed for global exposure, some are pushed more locally. Also, the age of the site defines which engines are indexing it to some degree etc.
On the whole, Mostly Google, and MSN is probably second, BUT -- the older sites still get traffic from Yahoo.

With the recent drastic changes at Yahoo!, I' m going to let this poll run for a few more weeks. I think we will see that some numbers will change slightly. Black Wednesday - October 9th, 2002
The change in the layout of the search results is considerable. We now have one major player, Google, whom Yahoo! has chosen as their web page results provider for a second time. No one else has held the contract for more than one term.
And then of course we have the Overture listings at the top and bottom of each page. To sum it all up, its a Google/Overture/Yahoo! world and most of us will see 70-80% of our traffic generated by these resources.
There will be many who have paid the Yahoo! $299.00 annual review fee who have lost their coveted directory positions. They are still there, just not organized how they were previously. There will also be many who have gained. Unfortunately it is not a win/win situation. If you haven' t checked your Yahoo! positions lately, you might want to take a look NOW!

Position well in Google and you' ll do well in AOL as Google is AOL' s primary provider. You can also do Google CPC (Cost Per Click). It could get expensive, depends on your industry.

The day Yahoo! renewed its contract with Google for its web page results. In the process, the entire Y! directory has been reorganized and many who have enjoyed the rewards of those directory positions are now going to be homeless! Not really, but, its the biggest change in Yahoo! that I can remember back to 1995.

On one of my sites most of my searches come from google but most of my users are aol. But I also have mostly direct requests.
