Very nice. It sent my Pugs barking and looking for the source. LOL

Gerry,

I liked all but the quality of the center image in the Studio.

The site held together well in IE 6, Opera 6.2, NN 7.

NN 4.76 rendered the Who we are page thusly:

Hey, that' s COOL!! Love the colors--inside looks crisp and very professional...nice graphics. My dog was too lazy to respond to the puppy on the puter....

I like it!:)

Thank you for your comments. I' m afraid to mess with the tables used on this page for fear that it will change rendering on the other browsers.
Is NN 4.76 still popular? Thanks again.

Gerry,

This is only one site, but you can see for yourself the percentages. Visit this site, scroll to the bottom of the home page and click on the " Site meter" image. Then on the page that opens, choose " Browser share" near the bottom center. You will see a pie chart that shows the percentages.

http://www.prunedale.org

To save you time, this morning NN 4.x is 10% and NN 3.x is 2%.

A very high percentage of the visitors are from the Pacific Time zone, not 3rd world countries.

Jerry,

I am probably the only one on these forums that uses FrontPage in its most simple form. I generally use variations of standard themes. The Prunedale site was my first—1997, and largest. I turned it over to another volunteer when I moved to Henderson, Nevada in the summer of 2000.

Check the thirteen variations at: http://www.anthemwebs.com/portfolio.htm

I thought your site was reely well put together. I love the dog barking when you first go there. Cool. :)

Gerry,

Nice work. :)

You should add alt-text to graphics.

IMHO, you should try to have as few as possible " Under Construction" pages. I found 3 pages in your navigation that were like that. I mean, if a page is not available maybe you should just not put a link to that page. I' m guilty of having done that before myself but it' s something that we all should try to avoid. As I said that was IMHO and others may have different opinions.

Just a comment on the stats for browsers.

These can vary VERY widely from site to site. There are a couple of things to bear in mind in the case of the stats referred to above.

1. They go back a long way. So they will be counting browsers from as far back as 4 or more years ago, when early versions of NN4 and even NN3 were common. This may distort the overall long term figures for these browsers upwards compared to what they would be for current users of the site.

2. This is a site that does not get heavy traffic but is likely to get a lot of repeat visitors, so again that may distort the short term figures for particular browsers upwards, if just a few regular users are using old versions. For example if there are say 20 visitors in a day - just 1 person using NN3 would return a percentage of 5% for that browser version. Taking the percentage alone could therefore be a gross distortion of reality.

These are sjut examples of the things that can affect these sort of figures - so you really do have to judege each site on its own with regard to traffic using various browsers.

Great job!

There is a couple carriage returns in the middle of lines under the who are we page in Sarah' s Section.

That' s all I could find with a quick look. I like the colors too. My only suggestion is for your logo, maybe have the dog have a little more definition. He kinda looks like a black blob, a cute black blob, but still a black blob instead of a dog. JMHO though!

have a great day
Jim

I love the site, although the purple had to grow on me for a bit.
Opening page, really refreshing not to have to sit throughhalf an hour of flash like most ' artiste' sites. I smiled at the bark, which can' t be bad.
Loaded very fast, even with lots of images.
Seemed all in place on IE6

The little paws would look better with transparent backgrounds

You did say honestly, right?

#1. I think the top portion of the page could be laid out better. There seems to be so much space at the top that is unused.

#2. I think the purple paws should be transparent as opposed to the white background.

#3. Who We Are Page - I think a little border between the bio' s would help.

#4. What We Do Page - When you click on one of the links to the right you have to go back to the previous page in order to access the full menu. Why not eliminate the extra step. It gets a little cumbersome.

#5. Our Studio - The alignment factor comes into play.

#6. You may not know this but if you click on the Images Link, and then click on the Testimonials Link, you can see a slight misalignment between the two.

My 7 cents.:)
