Guest	Passwords? - 4/17/2001 20:36:00 OK....I know this may be simple to some but I need some help. How do I set up a page within my web that is password protected? Details would be appreciated since I am VERY new to web design. Will this password protection work on servers that do not support Frontpage extensions? If not....what do I do? Thanks DP_Rookie

The Fp password protection will only work if you have extensions installed. This article will show you how to use them but I assume that it will be no good as you don't have extensions

Are you using an NT or a Unix server? If the former try

If it is Unix you will need some sort of script. There are several at www.hotscripts.com but there is a bit of a learning curve involved in using them.

There are also a number of JavaScript solutions but to be honest they are not secure so are probably not worth bothering with.
