I connect on the company internet approx equivalent to 56K and it took about 18 seconds for the home page to appear fully.

I am in Sheffield UK.

Hope that is useful :)

Cheers

I have a 56k modem on dialup and it took about 35 seconds to load...I' m not sure what the actual connection speed is...sometimes it' s only 28.8; I know I' m capable of 56k.

Micah,

About 2 seconds for the initial knee jerk, and the another second to complete.

Cable service in Henderson, NV. I just tested the speed, and it was 1.832 MB/sec.

Hi Micah,
Bardstown, Kentucky, USA - 28.8 on 56K dial-up.

About three seconds to connect and thirty-three seconds for full load. One-half inch horizontal scroll bar at 800 X 600.

John

Both done on P3 750mhz computer.

11 seconds on 56k modem at 45333bps.

0 seconds on T1.

The differences in dial-up is usually due to the amount of traffic on a particular server, bps and computer speed.
