Updating Include pages - 4/17/2001 23:06:00
I just made a website which has include pages for the left nav bar and top picture/nav bar. I made a change to the left nav bar, then uploaded it to my site. (I have to use FTP). However, the only way I could get the new nav bar to appear on all the pages was if I replaced all the pages in the site that has the navbar.Did I do something wrong when I made the pages, or is this how it's gonna have to be? It's better than having to replace the nav bar in every page but, it'd be nice not to have to re-ftp every page. Here's the URL... www.osaa.org Let me know what you think! I've gotten lots of great tips from you all. Thanks! Dawn

When you changed the navbar.htm did you use the same name for the newnavbar.htm? When you uploaded (FTPd) the new navbar.htm did you also upload all of the other pages? They have also changed and need to be "reuploaded." Just like with the shared borders and FTP, you must send all affected pages through FTP for the updates to take effect correctly.
