FP corrupted extensions - 10/13/2002 0:08:30
Can anybody answer this question: If the FP extensions are corrupted on server side, is it necessary to delete all the files from the website in order to re-install the extensions?

Hello Alexis and welcome to the forums. You do not have to remove your files. Remove/uninstall the server extensions and reinstall them, all should be well again. Good Luck.

Thank you for your answer. I have my site which is quite big. It has more than 800 pages. It gets daily updated. The FP extensions got corrupted a couple of times at the server site. The server' s support people, delete the whole site in order to re-install the FP extensions. When I re- publish the server sends a time out message. The process of re-publishing the whole site (more than 40MB) gets difficult. Is this normal? Alexis

Is this normal? Nope - There is no reason to delete the site to reinstall the extensions - That I know of.
