Using Pay for Inclusion and PPC - 10/21/2002 0:52:04
I' m considering using http://www.positiontech.com/directsubmit.htm for inclusion in Inktomi and Fast. Is paying for inclusion becoming more popular and an accepted method of generating traffic? Regards, Scotty

Hi Scotty I' m certainly no expert, but have done a lot of SE work recently, so can give you my experience - submitting there has made a negligible difference to visits to the site I was working on, improving the site with regards to Google has proved very successful and free although it' s a question of patience and research and a helpful editor on DMOZ. A paid listing on Looksmart has given a good listing on MSN, Overture listings got too competitive when " bigger" players were bidding on the same keywords and the alternatives weren' t giving the results, paying 299$ to Yahoo gets a few people in and may help with Page Rank for Google, adwords on Google can help get you placed where your title, description and content don' t, also it' s easy to manage your expenditure. Be interesting to hear other people' s experience. Cheers Andy
