Auto publishing of web site - 10/24/2002 1:30:35
Hello, I want to publish my FrontPage web site automatically at every one hour every day. Presently I do it manually i.e. publish my site to an online server but I want to schedule it to run automatically. Any idea. Thanks, Rakesh

For this, if on a Windoze computer, I would use " task scheduler" . Go to start, help and type schedule in the index cell. It will go over how to setup, schedule, edit, etc.. It' s pretty cool. Brian

Hello, I know about Task scheduling but what is the Exe file that I should use for auto publishing my site. I want to use Publish Wizard of Front Page but do not know where is the Exe file to run this wizard is located. The other question is I' ll not be connected to the web all the time so whenever the wizard starts for auto publication it should first check whether my computer is connected, if not it should first try to connected automatically and subsequentely publish the pages. After the publication is over then the connection should be automatically disconnected. So at every schedule time it should First connect to internet then publish web then get disconnected. What do you say? Regards, Rakesh

The only other thing I saw from doing some heavy searches over at Google were a future add in over at Jimco ... http://www.jimcoaddins.com/ It is called Publisher. You can contact him to see what the release date is. It sounds exactly like what you want. Brian

I tried searching from a different perspective. I think the top one will fit your bill. It is a macro program. Never have used either but sounds straight forward. http://www.mjtnet.com/ http://www.i2rd.com/Xjob/ Brian
