working with databases - 10/24/2002 13:49:44
I know there is a database forum at this site, but I am so new to working with this aspect of FrontPage, I thought I would try a post here.
I' m having a little trouble understanding how to access data sent to a database. I placed a short survey form in my web and sent the results to a an Access database file. The problem is, I have no idea how to access that file. I tried to get information at the database forum and they sent me some excellent information, but I' m still really confused. The information I received seems to indicate that the only way I can access this data is to place a page on my web and use the Data Results Wizard. I don' t want this information published on my web. It is for my use only. There is probably a way to make the page hidden or private (just one more thing I don' t yet know how to do) but what I really want to be able to do is simply download the database file so I can manipulate it through Access on my PC.
If anyone knows how I can do this, I' d really appreciate the help. I' ve gone through the three books I have and I just can' t seem to figure this out.
Thanks in advance.
Gil

Just FTP the file to your computer and open it in access.

Hi,

I have a survey too, I created a DRW to view it online, instead of taking it to my PC.

Regards
Hisham
